What it is
Triptorelin is a GnRH agonist given as a depot so the pituitary first surges, then shuts down LH/FSH. That castrate-range suppression is the medical point.
Benefits in plain language
What researchers and reference users usually mean when they talk about this compound. These are study themes and common claims — not a promise that it will do this in you.
- On-label: prostate cancer, some gynecologic estrogen-suppression jobs, precocious puberty.
- Forum “reset the axis with one tiny shot” stories use microdoses that are not the cancer depot. That is still hormone shutdown territory.
- Opposite idea from pulsatile gonadorelin.
If a branded, FDA-approved product exists, that label is the only dose that is actually authorized. Research-chemical vials are a different object.
Mechanism of action
Continuous GnRH-receptor stimulation causes receptor down-regulation and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism after an initial flare.
Possible side effects / caveats
Flare, hot flashes, bone density loss, mood, and the full hypogonadal picture.

| Source tier | Amount | Frequency / duration | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|

| Anecdote microdoses | Do not copy | Not a labeled fertility hack | See gonadorelin instead for pulse logic |
