FOXO4–p53 interfering peptide
FOXO4-DRI
Preclinical Senolytic candidate
What it is
FOXO4-DRI is a designed peptide intended to free p53 from FOXO4 in senescent cells so those cells can apoptose. It is a research tool, not a clinic senolytic.
Benefits in plain language
What researchers and reference users usually mean when they talk about this compound. These are study themes and common claims — not a promise that it will do this in you.
- A research peptide designed to nudge senescent (“zombie”) cells toward dying off in animal aging models.
- The pitch is clearing worn-out cells so tissue can behave younger.
- Extremely early, expensive, and not a consumer longevity protocol. Off-target cell death is the theoretical worry.
- Not a workout recovery peptide.
If a branded, FDA-approved product exists, that label is the only dose that is actually authorized. Research-chemical vials are a different object.
Mechanism of action
Interference with the FOXO4–p53 interaction observed in senescent-cell survival. Off-target p53 biology is exactly why dosing cowboy-style is a bad idea.
Possible side effects / caveats
No adequate human safety package. p53-pathway drugs are high-stakes by definition.
